Nagios Core 3 custom notification exception -

i'm hoping avoid hacked mishmash achieve something. know can done mishmash let's see if i'm missing simple, easy way. nagios core 3.

i have service. service checked 24x7x365. notifications sent 24x7x365, on warning , on critical.

that good--that want.

however...now want 1 single exception notification setup. note: not want exception monitoring setup--i want console show correct status, 24x7. want make 1 exception notification (via email) on service.

here exception:

if service state warn and time of day between 0300 , 0600, not notify.

that's it. if it's critical, email-notify 24x7 (as does). if it's not between 3 , 6 a.m., notify regardless of warn vs. crit (as does). exception warning and 3-6 a.m.

background: because have maintenance occurs every night between 3 , 6, we've customized produce warning (not critical). want notifications time outside of (admin may have accidentally launched maint in middle of day), , want critical any time. don't want skip checks during time because want console correct (a big bunch of yellows 0300-0600).

so, anyway, seems can kludge bunch of constructs have simple way define 1 "boolean and" condition notification (only) schedule?

this scheduled downtime for. if create scheduled downtime window alerts suppressed during timeframe.

if that's not option, need different contacts service. 1 notifies 24x7 , on critical, , other notifies 24x7(sans 3-6), , receives warning notifications. have them both point same contact email address.
