java - Forcing other phones to recognize update in bluetooth device name for android -


i creating android app requires using android phone's name store information phone. name of phone changing. however, when other phones perform multiple bluetooth scans, seem use first name recognized phone, after phone name has changed. there way force android app see new name or flush kind of cache bluetooth scan has finished?

as noted in howell's answer can use setname change name, , can use fetchuuuidswithsdp() force update of name of phone, believe there no way force device update service information , name has you.
