How to force IntelliJ to always search in "Whole Project" -

i use find in path function ctrl+shift+f, searches text strings in several files.

one thing run though, search know exists in @ least 1 file, 0 results or find of files contain search term.

then realise scope setting in find dialog box has been set module or directory reason rather "whole project" want.

what fools me here seems happen - i'll have scope set whole project want to, else.

how intellij decide scope use?

also, there setting can used force intellij select "whole project" default?

just collapse project tab before: command + 1 or alt + 1

the default selection depends on context launched search. if have project tab open folder/file selected search in folder or parent of file.

to search default close panel (this make context whole project) , press search shortcut , scope properly.
