Running install4j on 64bit JRE in Win -


is possible create via install4j single media file windows can run in both cases when user has 32bit or 64bit jre installed?

i have case i'm wrapping application has no need 64bit os features. have selected 32bit (install4j) executable generated. experienced problems when have tried install on 64bit win7 has 64bit jre installed. installer complained missing 32bit jre.

in guide of install4j have found following:

on windows, native executable can either 32-bit or 64-bit executable. if need 64-bit jre application can choose generate 64-bit installers , launchers media file. note not possible create launchers work both 64-bit , 32-bit jres. since launcher starts jvm jni interface loading jvm dll, architecture has same. if target both 32-bit , 64-bit jres , operating systems, have generate different media files them.

i'm hoping bold referring cases when need specific 64bit features.

any help? in advance.

unfortunately not possible @ time. recommend use 32-bit jre bundle. work both 32-bit windows , 64-bit windows. case of installed 64-bit jre may not important.
