css - get rid of horizontal scrollbar on jquery cycle slideshow -

i'm looking rid of horizontal scrollbar appears when browser window smaller 1900px http://focalpoint.wpconsult.net/

the images 1900px, can cut off when browser smaller, long slideshow stays centered , images don't scale, fixed width.

i set overflow hidden on container, doesn't help. on other pages, header has normal background image same width, overflow hidden works fine, no scrollbar.

lots of solutions suggest add overflow hidden on body element, make impossible scroll left , right read content on minimized browser window. want slideshow area cut off suggestions!

your #header-bg-img div element has width of 1900px , causing scrolling

i believe need add min-width:980px; , overflow:hidden on #wrap element

the min-width allow element expand greater widths, if gets smaller 980 (what rest of page designed for) allow scrolling..
