objective c - why won't the tab view respond to a shake the second time? -

i have simple tab view 2 views i've set first view respond shake , works fine first time in. when go second tab , come first tab shake no longer recognized. have set canbecomefirstresponder in viewwillappear still doesn't motionbegan method when come first tab screen. suggestions? thanks.
