iphone - iOS Audio Recording Size per Minute -


a high level question. i'm investigating possibility of app 2-3 hr audio recordings @ time.

does know proximate minute per mb rate low (voice quality) level recordings? know can depend on lots of factors i'm looking approximate figure see how feasible can 2-3 hrs long.

at cd quality (44.1k samples/per second) single channel 158.76 m samples 1 hour stretch. multiply sample size (say 16 bit int) , 317.52 mb per hour per channel. worst case, , bet implement compression reduce physical size.
