hadoop - Cloudera Manager failed to format HDFS, topology.py.vm is missing -


i encountered error while adding new service (service type = hdfs) using cloudera manager (free edition). error message says follows:

not create process: com.cloudera.cmf.service.config.configfilespec$generateexception: unable process template:couldn't find template hadoop/topology.py.vm

i checked /var/log/cloudera-scm-server/cloudera-scm-server.log , found line below.

org.apache.velocity.exception.resourcenotfoundexception: unable find resource '/web-inf/templates/hadoop/topology.py.vm'

i guess war file not contain hadoop-metrics.properties.vm (velocity template file?) although should , might related whirr-370.

could me solve problem, please?

may ask version of cloudera manager being used? error occurred after try add add service of after time when service added?

based on error, seems of configuration missing why service addition failed. know how did install hadoop on cluster?

if download virtual machine , compare installation, can compare folder completeness , missing content. work me always.
