Require trigonometry assistance with ship/wave movement -
i have unusual 'game' in supposed code of ship's movements against sine wave without knowing wave length.
given ship speed, wave period , amplitude (no wave length!), in scenario ship , wave travelling in same direction, assumption ship on same point of wave hold water? or there way calculate point on wave ship on, given above mentioned information?
eg: if ship on wave angle 60 (no wavelength, using wave angle calculate), after 1 second, ship still remains on wave angle 60, since both of them moved same amount of time.
also, given same information, using cos calculate position on wave ship on, when ship , wave moving in different directions. take ship's own movement hypotenuse , try find adjacent, amount moved across wave.
