linux - How do Install CentOS on home server? -

i'm still total noob please bear me. built own computer, pretty simple 4 gigs of ram, i7 processor, 1tb hard drive, , trying image centos can have own server college project working on. far have found download page on stanford.edu site centos, wondering extension want first of all? .iso or .torrent. secondly type of architecture looking i386 or x86? if direct me pretty nice step step how awesome. in advance!

since computer i7, have choice of either using i386 version or x86_64 version. i386 means 32bit , x86_64 64bit. either version install fine on machine, depends on if want 64bit os or 32bit os. geermc4 said, iso file want download. iso give dvd/cd image can burn disc , boot install centos. may suggest reading centos installation guide more information on installing centos.
