progress 4gl - how to open openedge version 10 dictionary using openedge version 11? -


i need open openedge version 10 database using version 11 database dictionary.i m trying open database dictionary using version 11 message saying "use r10 data dict open r10 data dict". can open r10 database using r11 database dictionary? don't have idea regarding this.

first, note there things in v11 data admin tool won't work @ v10 db since v10 db's don't have same functionality of v11 db.

having written that, progress platforms designed allow clients connect databases 1 version ahead of current client version via client-server connection support upgrading database , migrating clients later.

i don't think works other way (a client can connect database 1 version back). i'd suggest try connect db client server, , see if helps.

most likely, you're out of luck , need upgrade db version 11 in order use version 11 data admin tool.
