compilation - Compiling against modified library in linux -


i've compiled mplayer2 against prebuilt libavcodec library in ubuntu. crashes under specific conditions.

judging error message spat out, problem lies libavcodec. experiment of libavcodec code. i.e. compile own version of libavcodec , compile mplayer2 against that.

pkg-config point towards installed libavcodec libraries ubuntu's apt-get. how point own version of libavcodec? or tell configure script use version?
