HTML / PHP - How to "pack components into multipart documents"? -


seems straightforward question there must i'm missing.

perusing famous yahoo "high performance frontend" recommendations, came across phrase

pack components multipart document

and short brief blurbs didn't elaborate on how-to side of things.

i know there's multipart header, , emails split using multipart boundaries, further searching hasn't revealed more...can explain heck means , situations applies to?

the multi-part documents, believe, works ie; idea pack html , images 1 document (like how mime emails work).

i wouldn't go down route; think it's better aggressively cache external scripts, images , style sheets. it's more practical , in cases yield same performance.
