redirect - php multiple sites to one site with relative sub domains -


i'm looking bit of advise on issue i've not dealt before , appears vague regarding advise, info find tied wordpress unfortunately

my problem related consolidating multiple sites 1 relative sub domains. have site anonymitys sake i'll call www.abc.com have www.abc.co.uk , www.abc.ie

what want have 3 sites point www.abc.com url stucture like

www.abc.com/region1
www.abc.com/region2
www.abc.com/region3

the problem i've no experience regarding start doing this. know create 3 sub directories under httpdocs pointing regions point @ 1 set of files , store variables in $_session determine region user wants. redirect .ie , .co.uk .com relevant region info after .com/

from gather reading around sub directories create host of seperate content on google , main reason wanting consolidate sites 1 promote google rank

you must understand that:

(1) subfolders

www.abc.com/uk [/index.html] www.abc.com/ireland [/index.html] www.abc.com/australia [/index.html]

(2) conceptually related websites

www.abc.co.uk [/index.html] www.abc.co.ie [/index.html] www.abc.co.au [/index.html]

(3) subwebsites

uk.abc.co [/index.html] ireland.abc.co [/index.html] australia.abc.co [/index.html]

(4) and, redirection

(4.1) redirection subfolder

www.abc.co.uk [/index.html] => www.abc.com/uk [/index.html] www.abc.co.ie [/index.html] => www.abc.com/ireland [/index.html] www.abc.co.au [/index.html] => www.abc.com/australia [/index.html]

(4.2) redirection subwebsite

www.abc.co.uk [/index.html] => england.www.abc.com [/index.html] www.abc.co.ie [/index.html] => ireland.www.abc.com [/index.html] www.abc.co.au [/index.html] => australia.www.abc.com [/index.html]

all of them similar, but, in reality, different things, differents solutions, may solve same problem ?

redirection (4.1) & (4.2) can used trick (2) & (3).

there learning process here. suggest, this, step step, if can. specially, because in charge of programming:

(1) suggest start single domain, using subfolders, have single start page each subfolder, separate stuff.

(2) later, may want buy separate, additional domains.

if have own web server, must configure redirect domains each folder. when user writes localized domain in browser, server redirects him subfolder.

if using or plan use web hosting provider, of allow sell domain, , redirect domain other domain, or domain subfolder, in configuration page.

(3) avoid subwebsites. requires more configuration, both in web server, or php website. and, case, subfolders, seems better choice.
